[#KeepgoingTOGETHER] Vol. 25 0.003% ONLINE
1. Time, number of people, and the environment required to prepare for online distribution.
It was the first time for us to live streaming on the web of session performance, so we need to get many pieces of equipment, some knowledge of streaming. It was not easy. The aim of our project “0.003%” is “Share REAL TIME” and “Original performance by artists”. This time, team members are Kazuhisa Uchihashi (musician), Yukio Suzuki (dancer), Takashi Kawachi (technical staff) and Nao Ashimine (streaming staff), we tried to session performance by music and dance in outdoor space and no-audience. There is no doubt that it was exciting for many people who stayed home for coronavirus to see the performance in a wonderful nature.
2. Impressions of your online distribution.
One of this projectʼs aim is to take the opportunity of creating and share it for that artists reconfirm joy of living as an artist. Because of it, we tried to stream live session not only open our past works to the public on-line. We should turn the crisis into opportunities! Many artists lost their performances, creations, workshops or many other works in this year. But we have no time for feeling down. Through this project, it was great for us to share our creative time, and it gave us motivation for the next creation. Thank you very much.
3. Fruition and Challenge Acquired through Online Activities.
Yukio Suzuki danced holding the camera in his hand, or he went to the real forest, or use the fire (we canʼt use it at the theatre) and so on… this
performance was on-line thatʼs exactly why we could do it. The audience must have been exciting in front of their PC or phone. We could try to
express “on-line” performance. So, we want to have more people see it on time, not archive. We need to devise a way to advance PR activities, the format of Facebook or other tools. We are going to do it when next performance this weekend.
