Impressions Gained through Online Activities 

Whether there is a confinement or not, on the internet, there are a lot of cultural videos that are worth having fun at home, and people appreciate more than museums or cinemas. So what is the difference and what is existence of a online activities? And why should I posted the video as “an art”?

The program made me to think about the role of this video and this online activities.

At first, art is physical, specific and ephemeral experience. You can imagine it but you can’t eat it on the screen or the book. The taste of the work changes completely how, where, in what context and when it was exhibited.

The work that I have shown is not in a museum, but the video talks about a period of the exhibition was canceled and it talks and I met a boy that I gave a vision that could be his future.

In this case, the location of the work doesn’t matter. The important thing is how we can access and share this memory watching this video. And this is the purpose of the online activities. I don’t know if you agree that I call it as an “art” but I think the video was in the right place.

This must be the place.


Fruition and Challenge Acquired through Online Activities 

The difficulty of the Online activities is that how we keep the “Aura”. A work which you can watch anytime easily and it can copy it, the tense of the work will lost.

But this tense must not keep with a “financial barrier”. An admission program cause a cultural disparity from an income disparity. The important thing is anyone can access to art even you are rich or not. The value of the life is experiences.

So this kind of support program which artist can live and can release in free is very important.


Suggestions and Opinions towards Online Distribution 

Seeing these movement of artists support, we notice that COVID-19 aware us that what we need in this kind of miserable is imagination.

I had heard that in these years, an art bubble scattered art fairs in the world, but the Pandemic destroy many artists financially. A financial support which doesn’t need to sell the work like this program is very important and it can save many artists which cannot with selling their works.

I really thank to EU Japan Fest and I hope these kind of support will go on increase in the world, and the world will fill of the art.
