Kimono: Tradition and Future - Exhibition , modern Japanese Songs, Ballet and glamor

In 2019, when Plovdiv was the European Capital of Culture, Neli Koycheva, together with four musicians from Japan performed a concert "Japanese song meets Bulgarian song".
In 2021 in Plovdiv Neli Koycheva together with Snejana Nakatani organised an exhibition-concert, presenting the kimono and traditional Japanese music, as well as direct online presentations of masters of ikebana and calligraphy. An upcoming event includes contemporary music, ballet and an exhibition with the kimono and modern clothes made of kimono fabrics. Bulgarian artists living in Japan and Japanese artists take part in all events. Each subsequent project builds on the previous ones and expands the knowledge and impressions of the Bulgarian audience about Japanese arts.
