Reflections on the routine by the people of Saga inspired by photography
The newspaper Saga Shimbun sponsored an essay contest in connection with “European Eyes on Japan/Japan Today vol. 8”, the exhibition of photography offered in February and March 2007. This volume contains the 13 prize-winning essays selected from among a total of 191 submissions. “From a Picture” is a heart-warming collection of essays that, inspired by photography, revisit their authors’ inner lives and the routine of their daily lives.
