The 22nd EU-Japan Fest Chairman Mr. Masayuki Oku (Chairman of the Board, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group) was awarded the Cross of Recognition by the Republic of Latvia. The ceremony was held at the embassy of Latvia on 25 Nov, in Tokyo. As chairman, Mr.Oku visited European Capital of Culture Riga in 2014 and contributed to the cultural programs and sustainable cultural exchange between the two countries. After the ceremony, the members of the Tokorozawa Fény Children’s Choir, who attended Riga World Choir Game, made a congratulatory surprise concert!
