Since its launch in 1996, the aims of the Yokohama Dance Collection have been to discover and foster young choreographers and to promote the spread of contemporary dance. This year’s competition attracted 138 applicants from eleven countries. Among 10 choreographers, who have been selected to present their work in the final stage, Ryu Suzuki received FITS Award. This award gives prize winner the opportunity to perform at Sibiu International Theatre Festival 2018 in Romania!
