noc noc is aｎ event of European Capital of Culture Guimarães2012 (Portugal) started to bring contemporary art to the public integrating multiple genre of art (painting, sculpture, photography, video, performance, installation, music, poetry, etc.) It has just closed on 1 and 2 Oct., and Japanese painter Chihiro Ito participated the festival for 5 consecutive years. Everywhere in the city could be art places: the public can see art not only in the middle of the streets, in commercial and associative spaces, but also in the private houses! Just as “noc noc” is a sound of knocking the doors, the art knocked and touched the heart of people.
