Artist Mr. Soichiro Mihara will join the international festival “KENPOKU ART 2016” in northern Ibaraki prefecture. This festival focuses on media art using science and technology and even art applying biology that may transform the next generation. Mr. Mihara has spent several months to create his own work on the theme of relation among art, nature and technology during his residency in Pilsen (European Capital of Culture 2015). The prefecture is blessed with abundant nature, and has many resources that are unique to the region, such as its distinctive climate, natural features, history, culture, food and local industries.
