Hiroshi Sugimoto’s solo exhibition: “Lost Human Genetic Archive”

ロスト・ヒューマン

Contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto, using a large-format camera to produce minutely detailed photographic series, runs the new exhibition “Lost Human Genetic Archive”. In this exhibition, he deals with the epic theme of ‘the demise of mankind and civilization’. In conjunction with the European Capital of Culture Marseille-Provence 2013, his exhibitions making full use of city facilities drew a lot attention at Les Rencontres Arles Photograph. You can appreciate his latest works at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum from 3 Sep to 13 Nov.
