satie-01

Ms. Toshiko Oka from a dance group, Ensemble Sonne performs ‘Tonarino-Signal’ that is choreographed by herself at D-soko located in Nippori, Tokyo. This programme is inspired by music composed by Erik Satie, who dedicated to create a new style of music beyond the conventional idea of classical music. Oka’s work titled ‘Dizziness’ was presented in last year’s European Capital of Culture Mons (Belgium) as part of the main programmes of ‘Home and Away’, introducing Japanese traditional and modern culture. Her performance will be held on 2 Aug. at 19.30.
