There is a return memorial exhibition of artist Chiharu Shiota in Kanagawa Arts Theatre. Based in Berlin, she creates very large artworks, focusing on installations by using a wide range of materials. She exhibited the Japanese pavilion as Japanese representative artist in Venice biennale, “The key in the Hands”. This is the exhibition transformed into the newest version titled “The Locked room”. She is going to run an exhibition in Pafos, next year’s European Capital of Culture, enabling her fascinating art to draw more attention from all over the world. You can go visit this exhibition from 14 September to 10 October.
