Bridge South and North – Home for Cooperation in Cyprus
Cyprus hosts European Capital of Culture in 2017 in Pafos. The capital city Nicosia was divided into the southern Greek Cypriot and the northern Turkish Cypriot parts in 1963, following the intercommunal violence that broke out in the city. The Home for Cooperation is NGO, which is a unique community center located in the heart of Nicosia. It is the embodiment of cooperation, contributing to the collective efforts of civil society in their engagement with peace building and intercultural dialogue. It provides many cultural programs, and encourages people to cooperate with each other beyond constraints and dividing lines. Two representatives to visit Japan this coming June, to develop international youth and community projects.
