This spring first Hybrid – Rhythm & Dance performance was taken place at the New National Theatre of Tokyo. This dance performance, focusing on principles of bodily expression in Basque rhythm and Japanese dance, was directed by multi-awarded independent contemporary dancer and choreographer Ms. Motoko Hirayama. It is composed by dance, Ainu song, Japanese leading dancers and Txalaparta, traditional percussion instrument from the Basque region of Spain. The Basque tour starts from San Sebastian on 21 October to other several venues till 4 November.
