Japanese famous writer Yoko Tawada, currently based in Germany, is one of the participant artists in Saitama Triennale 2016. She is specifically seeking used books of her work The Trainee of Snow, which may be marked or include highlighting. This donated books will be set in the installation named Room of White Bear, where people can pick used books up and explore the others’ reading experience through the signs of previous use. Tawada has been working vigorously to be connected to readers, giving public readings and participating conferences such as International literature Festival “Littfest” at Umea 2014.
