Ryoji Ikeda is to show his work at KYOTO EXPERIMENT this autumn. This Paris-based electronic composer and visual artist will join this year’s European Capital of Culture San Sebastian2016. He is acclaimed for his work that focuses on the essential characteristics of sound and visualizes this by means of both mathematical precision and painstaking aesthetics. In Plzeň2015 and Riga2014, numerous people visited to see his work from all over Europe. Coinciding with the performance “Ryoji Ikeda: concert pieces” at KYOTO EXPERIMENT, a large outdoor audiovisual experience “the radar [kyoto]” appears in the courtyard of ROHM Theatre Kyoto.
