"Companu's The Visit"

Since 2008, BIRD Theatre has been running an annual programme that constitutes of 4 main programmes: Namely, programme to <CREATE>, <Participate>, <Invite> and <Experiment>. In 2010, while having the creation and performance of theatrical works in the centre of whole programme, a wide range of programmes will be held including a new fifth main programme: Programme to . Also, new directions of activity that has begun in 2009, creative works with outside artists and introducing other artistic genre than performing arts to our audience.

BIRD Theatre Company TOTTORI

Founded in January 2006 by the director NAKASHIMA Makoto and company. BIRD Theatre Company has turned an old kindergarten and primary-school into a theatre and has been creating and presenting contemporary theatrical works, as well as running programmes such as workshops, lectures and holding BIRD Theatre Festival jointly with the local community and local government. As a creative base run by artists, the aim of BIRD Theatre is to be an open place for all artists in and outside the country. At the same time, the company search for a way to contribute to local community and education that only theatre can do.
