This workshop is entitled "Rediscovering the Self".
The objective is to depict the self in new perspectives through photography on the polarized theme of things liked and things hated. We hope that this workshop will, by engaging participants with the camera as a means of expression much akin to a painter’s brush and through their realization of its unimagined expressivity, provide them insights as to the path to photography as an art form. The camera has now become an everyday, routine object in Japan, available in countless types and wide-ranging functionality. However, our cameras tend above all towards technological enhancement.
We would reckon this workshop successful if participants come to realize, even slightly, the original joy of photography.
