The contemporary life of Kanagawa, Iwate and Gifu prefectures depicted by promising young European photographers. The scenes and situations captured by Irish, German and Czech photographers on their first visits to these locations prod us to reconsider aspects of our daily lives that we tend to overlook for their over-familiarity.

Images of Kanagawa prefecture depicted by Dara McGrath, prominent among the new generation of Irish photographers. Mysterious scenes steeped in casual routine found in Iwate prefecture by David Farrell, winner of the European Publishers Award for Photography. Luxuriant time in Hida Takayama captured with succulent sensibility by Jitka Hanzlova. Collaborative portraits with local artists from Valentina Seidel in her visits to all three prefectures employing her unique technique. This collection exhibits the contemporary life of Japan as it appears from a wide range of viewpoints.
