Maligoura is continuously engaged in new challenges, including her "Omonia Square" series of street snapshots of people gathered in a plaza in downtown Athens, the experimental portraits of "Gradual Abolition or Continual Escapes," and "Reading" in which her work attempts to read the scenery created by nature rather than represent it. Her latest work in "Inside" consists of Polaroid photos of commonplace objects, diptychs and triptychs in which she has created her own unique world. In combination with the memorable use of light and shadow, this work queries its viewers as to what time, memory and reality really are.
