The EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee is a non-profit non-governmental organization established by European ambassadors to Japan and Japanese business and cultural figures on the occasion of the 1993 request to assist with Japanese participation in the Cultural Capital of Europe Antwerp, in Belgium. The Committee works to support transnational joint projects in culture and the arts at the annual Cultural Capital of Europe, and between regions and artists in Japan and the countries of Europe.
